Most valuable data types

What buyers want from retail companies.

Commerce is one of the first places AI is being deployed to customers, in search, recommendations, service and catalog generation, and developers need real product data and shopper conversations to build it. Public product data is scraped, inconsistent and legally contested, so licensed catalogs and service records from established retailers are in demand.

  1. Product photography and catalog imagery with attributes

Millions of product images paired with titles, attributes and categories are labeled training data for visual search, catalog and generative commerce models.

    About images and video
  2. Customer service chats, emails and return cases

Order problems, sizing questions and refund requests in the customer's words, with how they were resolved, train retail support agents.

    About support tickets and chats
  3. Order, return and inventory histories

Years of de-identified orders, returns, promotions and stock movements train demand forecasting, pricing and returns prediction models.

    About transactions and operations
  4. Product descriptions, specs and reviews

Catalog copy and verified reviews linked to products teach models how products are described, compared and judged by buyers.

    About documents and knowledge bases
  5. Order and customer care calls

Recorded calls about orders, deliveries and returns add natural speech to the written support record, which voice commerce developers want.

What drives the range

  • Product images paired with structured attributes
  • Service conversations linked to order outcomes
  • Loyalty and card data require careful removal

Compliance

PCI DSS, CCPA and loyalty terms handled with your counsel

Card numbers never enter the dataset: payment fields are removed or tokenized to PCI DSS standards, and customer names, addresses and identifiers are de-identified before any sample is shared. Your privacy policy, loyalty program terms and state privacy laws such as the CCPA and CPRA are reviewed with your counsel to confirm the licensing fits what customers were told. Buyers are contractually barred from re-identification attempts and from any marketing use.

Standards in play

  • PCI DSS removal of card data
  • CCPA, CPRA and state privacy laws
  • Loyalty program and privacy policy terms
  • No marketing or re-identification use

FAQ

Retail questions

Read every question
Is this the same as selling our customer list?

No. We never sell personal data for marketing, and customer identities are removed before licensing. Buyers receive de-identified transaction patterns, product data and conversations under contracts that prohibit marketing use and re-identification.

Do our product images belong to us or the brands we carry?

It depends on who shot them and what your vendor agreements say. The rights review separates your own photography and copy from manufacturer-supplied assets, and only material you clearly hold is included.

Could a buyer use our data to compete with us?

Contracts restrict use to model training, prohibit resale, and can exclude specific competitors or uses you name. You approve every buyer before anything is delivered.
