One introduction can turn into a meaningful payout, and the company gets a new revenue line.
Standard payout
10% of net revenue, 24 months
10% of Knowledge Fuel's net revenue on every deal that closes from your introduction, paid when we get paid, for the first 24 months.
Illustrative example: a 300-person logistics company licensing data in the $100K to $600K range would mean a referral payout of about $10K to $60K if net revenue to Knowledge Fuel landed in that range.

How payouts work
Simple, written down and paid when we are paid.
- The rate
- 10% of Knowledge Fuel's net revenue on every deal that closes from your introduction, paid when we get paid, for the first 24 months.
- The trigger
- A deal counts when it closes with a company you introduced first, in writing, and the introduction is acknowledged by the company.
- The timing
- You are paid within 30 days of Knowledge Fuel receiving payment on each deal, including repeat non-exclusive licenses within the 24-month window.
- The paperwork
- A short referral agreement, a W-9 and a payout method. The full terms are at /referral-terms.

Referral partner questions
Do I have to be a data expert?
No. You only need to know which companies have been operating for a few years with digital systems. We handle valuation, buyers, contracts and compliance.
What if the company I refer is already talking to you?
The first written introduction wins. If a company is already in our pipeline, we tell you right away so there is no confusion.
Can I refer my own company?
Yes, but as a seller, not a referral partner. Use the valuation form and we will treat it as a direct relationship.
Is there a limit to how many companies I can refer?
No. Partners with large networks can also arrange a co-marketing conversation with us.
How do I know what a deal closed for?
Each payout statement shows the deal, the net revenue it was calculated from and your share. You can request supporting detail under the referral agreement.
Are payouts available to companies as well as individuals?
Yes. Firms can sign the referral agreement as an entity and receive payouts to the business.
