Privacy policy

Last updated October 23, 2026

This policy explains what information Knowledge Fuel collects through this website and in the course of its services, how it is used and the choices you have. It applies to visitors, companies that ask for a valuation, referral partners and experts who join our waitlist.

1. Information we collect

  • Information you submit through forms: name, work email, phone, company, role and the details you provide about your data or network.
  • Attribution information: the page you landed on, the referring site and campaign parameters (such as UTM tags) stored in a first-party cookie for up to 90 days.
  • Usage information collected by analytics tools, if enabled: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type.
  • Information shared during a valuation under a non-disclosure agreement, including samples of business data, which is governed by that agreement.

2. How we use it

  • To respond to your request, produce valuations and manage transactions.
  • To send confirmation emails and, where you have asked for them, guides and occasional updates. You can stop these at any time.
  • To understand how the website is used and which campaigns bring visitors.
  • To meet legal, tax and contractual obligations.

3. Data we license for clients

Knowledge Fuel licenses de-identified business data on behalf of the companies that own it. We do not sell personal data for marketing or advertising, and we are not a consumer data broker. Personal information in client datasets is removed or transformed before any buyer receives a sample, under methods documented in each contract.

4. Sharing

We share information with service providers that help us run the website and our business, such as email delivery, analytics and scheduling, under contracts that limit their use of it. We share information with buyers only as described in a signed license, after de-identification. We may disclose information when required by law.

  • Email delivery: Resend
  • Analytics and advertising measurement, if enabled: Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn
  • Scheduling, if enabled: the calendar provider linked on the site
  • Hosting: Vercel

5. Cookies and analytics

We use a first-party cookie to remember how you found us. If analytics or advertising tags are enabled, those providers may set their own cookies as described in their policies. You can block cookies in your browser; the website continues to work.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of marketing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We respond within the time required by law. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

7. Retention and security

We keep form submissions for as long as needed to respond and to meet legal obligations, and valuation materials as set out in the applicable NDA or license. We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and logging. No method is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as required by law.

8. International visitors

Knowledge Fuel is based in the United States. If you are located elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States under the safeguards described in this policy.

9. Children

This website is for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will post the new date above. Questions and requests: use the contact details on our contact page.
